Happy Harvest!

Hello girls! I hope you are having a wonderful Friday. I just popped to show the autumn tag I made this morning. I had this idea in the back of my head and finally I was able to make it. My children were very sick this week that's why I couldn't post anything earlier. Here is my tag, I hope you like it!

The pumpkin image was colored with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. I used Basic Gray patterned paper ~ mellow collection. To add a little bit of interest to the top of the tag, I used my Martha Stewart punch.

I love the little tag with the “Happy Harvest” sentiment ~ don’t you love it too..? I hope my project will inspire you to create an autumn theme project. I love the richness of autumn colors and mainly this is the inspiration for this project.

Sorry for the short post! But I need to go and get my baby from school. Before I leave, I want to thank you for all your comments. Please keep writing them, so I can visit your blogs through your links. Thanks for stopping by!

Ready, set, sew!

Good morning everyone! I'm so happy you are here today.
It is very early in the morning to be writing a post, I know! But I wanted to show you the project I finished yesterday. You have no idea how much fun I had while I was making it. I made this beautiful bustier inspired by a fashion trend ~ ruffles! Here is the first picture:

I have neglected my sewing machine for so long that today I decided to use it to complete this project. I really love how neat and beautiful the stitching looks on the cardstock. I stitched the ribbon to form a ruffle to decorate the top and the bottom of the bustier. This bustier will make a beautiful bridal shower favor. Don’t you think?

I always love to show you close up pictures, so you can see all the details on my projects. Notice I added a few gems to the front of the bustier. I didn’t have a sentiment, so I typed the sentiment and printed out on cardstock.

I combined two patterned papers with a solid brown cardstock to form the bustier. To help the cardstock to bend perfectly around the plastic container, I used my scor-pal and traced lines every half of an inch on the brown cardstock. I barely used adhesive on this project; I secured all the pieces with the stitching. I punched holes and added eyelets to pass the ribbon through.

I have to go and get ready for my husband “PUMPKIN POP CONCERT”. My children are very excited to go and listen to all the beautiful music the orchestra will be playing tonight!

Hope you like this project as much as I do! I think it is sooo cute. If I made you smile, please write me a comment.
Thanks for visiting me today, have a great weekend!

Si este proyecto le hizo sonreír al verlo, por favor déjamelo saber!
Que tengan un maravilloso fin de semana.

Winter Wonderland!

Hello everyone! I have a card to share today. In our town we are experiencing winter weather which is unlikely to happen at this time of the year. Yesterday was very cold that I spent most of the day at home, and I made this card using a sketch from The Pink Elephant blog.

The other day, I found this beautiful winter patterned paper in the store . I couldn't resist buying it. I was convinced that I was going to use it very soon! The paper has light blue color tones and a lot of glitter on it. :)

Hope you can see all the glitter on the trees branches and on the ground. I also added tiny snow balls falling down from the sky. How did I do that? ~ Well I used perfect pearls to make them look more realistic.

Matching the embellishments was an easy task for this project. I used my snowflakes punch. Yes, the one near the image. To add a little bit of texture, I embossed snowflakes on my card stock. I happened to have this beautiful ribbon with the phrase winter wonderland printed on it. That’s was the perfect touch to finish the card.

I would love to stay a little bit longer with you and chat more, but I got to go to finish another project I started today.

But before I leave, I would like to thank you for all your comments. It makes me very happy to hear from you. Enjoy the rest of the day and thanks for stopping by!

Gracias por visitarme hoy y gracias también por sus lindos comentarios. Muchos abrazos!! ~ no olvide que puede traducir el contenido de mi blog.

Monochromatic Color Scheme? ~ That's a challenge!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a terrific day.
I created this card for The Cuttlebug Spot color challenge. The challenge is to create a card using a Monochromatic color scheme. You basically have to create a card using one color. Yes, I said one color but using different shades of that same color. How fun is that?

Here is my entry for this challenge:

Since I wanted to make a girl’s card, pink was the best choice for this card. I used two pink patterned papers. Between the two patterned papers, I added a strip of hot pink card stock to add more visual interest to the card. Ah! I also used my EK heart punch ~ love this one too!

This card has a lot of card stock layers. The purpose of this was to incorporate different shades of pink. Did you notice the embossing detail at the bottom of my card? I have this cute cuttlebug embossing folder. It is soooo cute for a baby’s card.

Here is a closer look to see the card details!
Notice that I added hot pink gems around the nestability scallop and glitter around the circle as well.

Last week, I made a boy’s card using the same stamp. I knew it I needed to make a girl’s card using the same image. I really had a lot of fun making this card. I hope you like it too!!!!

Thanks for visiting me today! ~ Gracias por visitarme hoy!
Don’t forget to write me a comment; I really love to hear from you…Thanks!
No olvides de escribirme un comentario; Me encanta saber de ti… Gracias!

Oh Baby!

Hola!~ Hey Everyone! It is a little bit late, but I wanted to share the card a made yesterday. The inspiration for this card comes from my little boy. He was running around the living room holding his big siter picture frame, and he was kissing it. That was sooooo sweet and fun to watch! So, I went to my room and created this cute baby card.

When I finished it, I showed to him and he kissed the card too. My heart melted! A sweet smile ran away from his little face and that was the seal of approval that he really liked the card.

About the card: I really love this light green and light blue color combination for the matting. I think that it really complements the patterned paper so well. This awesome paper has embossed animals images, the perfect theme for a baby’s card. Ah! I colored the letters with pencils and gamsol. To make the letters pop, I added small dots of glitter.

Here is a close up! By the way, this is my baby favorite teddy bear.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a restful and wonderful weekend.

Gracias por visitarme hoy!~ no olvide traducir mi página. Que pasen un feliz fin de semana.

Hugs…, Silvia

Let’s party! ~ Is it Friday yet??

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! I had to wait until today to post my new card. This seems to be another super busy week, but I managed to post my latest creation. Hope you like it!
Here it is:

Let me introduce you Stella. Judging by the picture, I think she really loves to party too much, and she is not able to grant any wish at this moment. Doesn’t she look happily drunk resting inside the martini glass? Anyway, this cute image is from Stamping Bella. A very, very special person sent it to me a couple weeks ago . Stella was colored with my prismas and blended with gamsol. Notice what I did with the sentiment. I stamped it and soon I realized that I was not going to be able to fit it on my card. So, I had to split it and I think it does look better this way.

Here is a closer look; I hope you can see the touch of glitter I added to the glass and to her magic wand.

Gracias por sus lindos comentarios; realmente valoro profundamente su opinión. Por favor traduzca mi página si lo considera necesario.
Eso es todo por hoy, gracias por visitarme! ~ espero verles pronto.. :)

Thanks for your sweet comments; I really appreciate them very deeply!
OK. That’s all from me today, thanks for stopping by!.... :)

Hug me!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I have two cards to share with all of you. As I always do, I will post them separately. The other day my husband surprised me with a bouquet of flowers. It was really sweet of him to bring them. No, it was not an special day! So, I got inspired by that, and look what I made! Whenever I see this image, it makes me think that she wants to be hugged! don't you think? So after you leave my blog, go and hug someone today.. it feels great!!!

This cute little image is from Stamping Bella ~ love all their stamps!
The image was colored with pencils and blended with gamsol. See the little heart, I glittered myself. I grabbed a heart shaped chipboard and painted with acrylic paint; then added glitter. Tons of it! I used my Martha Stewart punch and my ribbon punch. I wanted to add the ribbon in a different way. I passed the ribbon through the holes to have that little touch of hot pink color to match my image. Little gems were added too. I was talking the other day about my nesties, I used today too. They get a lot of attention from me because I use them in almost every project.

Here is a close up!

Hope you like this card, please follow me to the next post. Oh! before you do that, please feel free to write me a comment. I do love to hear from you!

Hugs....
