Baby Buds~ Kira

Good morning everyone! Just popping in to share a sweet little card I made for our new challenge over at The Pink Elephant blog. This week’s challenge was to use the colors pink, red, and brown. So, here is what I came up with!

Today’s card uses the adorable image called Kira by Baby Buds. I adore her little dress, shoes, and her sweet face… I must say that I had a lot of fun coloring her. Again, I used prismacolor pencils and copics to color Kira.

I finally got to use that patterned paper, the one with the tiny pink flowers on it. I think that it goes so perfectly with this image. I stamped a red heart and then I cut it out. I also used my cuttlebug heart embossing folder to add some texture to the card. To finish off the card I added white pearls, glitter, and the polka dots ribbon.

That’s all for today, I will be back on Thursday  Friday for our By Lori Designs Blog Hop.

Thanks for dropping by…. Thank you so much for your sweet comments too!

Wagon Tales- Katie!

Hello…hello there! How is your day so far? Hope you are in the mood for a challenge because we are having one over at By Lori Designs. This week, Lori challenged us to design a card using these colors: light yellow, red, dark brown, and kraft. Such fun colors to work with ~don’t you think?

Here is what I have created for this challenge!

About the card…. let’s begin with the image. It is called Wagon Tales  Katie and it is from the Puddle Jumpers collection ~By Lori Designs. This time, I used a combination of copic markers and colored pencils to color the image.

Next… the pretty papers are left over from other projects. Just by looking at them, I can tell you that they are from October Afternoon.

Lastly… the embellishments: organza ribbon, tiny white pearls, button, and those little apples are from a piece of printed ribbon I had in my stash. All I did was to cut them out with a pair of scissors, I added a small glue dot to the back, and then I attached them to the wagon… this is my little tip for today!

I have a little person pulling my shirt right now because he is ready to go for a walk and have lunch with his mommy! He already picked the place for us to go for lunch …guess which one is it… Chick-fil-A!

Well, I hope you will find the time to play along with us this week. Please be sure to visit By Lori Designs and enjoy all the beautiful cards created by the rest of the design team.

Oh, thank you for all the lovely comments you left during our blog hop. We will have another one pretty soon!!

Hugs,

By Lori Designs~ Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am so happy you are here today for our blog hop… hosted By Lori Designs. Today, she is releasing new images, and I am so happy to have the privilege to introduce one of them. This sweet image is called Ezra and he will be part of the Puddle Jumpers collection. Isn’t he adorable ~I just love him!

I really had a blast designing this card. As usual, I used my prismacolor pencils to color Ezra.  The designer papers are from October Afternoon. See the clouds.... I created those by sponging some chalk ink on top  of a little template I made.

This is how you can make them: just hand-draw the clouds on a piece of cardstock and then cut it around with a sharp pair of scissors. Then, place the template on a piece of white cardstock and start applying the chalk ink in circular motion with a small sponge. Yep, that's all I did to create them!

Here is the official blog hop list.

Shabby Chic-Princess Chloe!

Good morning peeps…I am so glad you stopped today! We are having our first challenge of the year at The Pink Elephant blog, and it is a color challenge!  I am so excited about this one because I got to use one of my favorite images. As you can see, I created some sort of shabby chic card.  Here are the details about the challenge… please create a card using these colors: pink, aqua, and orange. So, here is my take!

For this card, I used Princess Chloe image from the Puddle Jumper collection ~ designed by Lori Boyd. After printing out the image, I colored her with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol.  I punched a border using my Ek success punch and then sprinkled glitter on it. I love to do this especially when I am trying to achieve that shabby look. The pretty papers are from Imaginisce.

To finish off the card, I used a piece of vintage ribbon to tie the bow, added some pearls, and… again I sprinkled a little bit of glitter on Chloe’s dress and wand.

Well, I think that’s all for today. If you want to see the beautiful cards created by the rest of the design team, please stop by The Pink Elephant blog.

Thanks for all your sweet and encouraging comments… Have a wonderful day!!

Oh, Happy Day!

Good morning everyone! Can’t believe that a new year has started and I am so excited about it. I am very happy to announce that I will be designing for By Lori Designs digi stamps. A couple of weeks ago, my sweet friend Lori Boyd invited me to join her design team. I am so thrilled to be one of her designers, and I am looking forward to work with the rest of the design team. Thanks Lori for this incredible opportunity!

Starting today, Lori will be hosting challenges over at her blog and the first one this week is a color challenge. Here are the colors for this challenge: dark pink, light pink, turquoise or aqua, and olive green.

Here is my little card…. have fun with this challenge!

Today’s card uses the sweet image called Girl with Kite from the Sugar Sticks collection. Don’t you love those pony tails? ~ They look so adorable!!!  Here is the direct link to the store so you can get it right away.  As usual, I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils. I also hand-drew the grass to give a more realistic look to the scene.

I added glitter on the kite and on the sun. I wanted to add buttons but the ones I had were too big… so I used those tiny brads instead. I folded little pieces of ribbon and added them to the side of the focal point.

Next week, we will have a blog hop to introduce new images…. so, stay tuned!

Before I leave, I would like to thank you for all the sweets comments you left on my blog! I haven’t had the chance to visit you to thank you personally but I will do so very soon! Welcome to the new friends that had singed in to follow my little blog, so happy to see you here!!

Thanks for visiting again…..have a wonderful day!
