Sunny days!!

I mentioned yesterday that I had two projects to share. Well this is the second one! It is funny to post the picture of my card because here in Atlanta the weather is quite the opposite. Yes, my readers it is raining and I love it! My little one is afraid of the thunders and whenever he hears one, he comes to me to hide from them. Ok! I’ll tell you about the card, I had these stamps for quite some time and I wasn’t sure what to do with them. One day, I went to my favorite scrapbook store and found this beautiful patterned paper which I used as my inspiration to put together this card. I picture my card as a beautiful and relaxing place somewhere in the Caribbean. So, I decided to use the little monkeys with the palm tree. I was even able to use little pearls for the coconuts. They were white and I colored them with my copics. The image was colored with colored pencil and blended with Gamsol ~I am just trying this technique. The inspiration for this technique comes from Paula please stop by her blog, I am sure you will be addict to it!. I did color some sand to make the scene more realistic. The ribbon is from PTI . If you notice, I used a little gem flower too.

I hope you are able to see brighter and warmer colors on it. Sorry! I couldn't catch very well the shinny glitter on the palm tree. Ah! Did I tell you how hard it was to come up with a sketch that it will include three images? ~that’s was the hardest part! ~ hope you like it.
Well, that’s all for today! Thank you for stopping by.

Back-to-school challenge

Here is my entry for this challenge!

Hello everyone! This has been a long and a busy week for us. But I am ready to share two new projects I made this week. I will post them separately, so I can add a few pictures of them. The first post is for Lauren Meader My Timeless Template challenge. I was so excited when I saw the new challenge for this week. It seems like she read my mind because I was thinking to send a special gift to my daughter’s teacher. We always do that at the beginning of the school year. For this challenge, we needed to create a themed Back-to- school gift using any of her templates.

This time, I wanted to make a gift that my daughter's teacher could use for herself that’s why I came up with the idea to get bottles of apple hand soap, foam, and apple hand lotion. I was so happy to fit all of that in the same box!
Trust me they are regular size items. The template that I used for this challenge is from PTI - “FROM THE DESK OF…”- by Lauren M.

I used a digital stamp from squiggfly and colored it with my copic markers. I happened to have that beautiful ribbon so I decided to add it around the box - hope you can see it. Ah! and I also added a little touch of glitter to the apple too.

Here are two more pictures to show you the way I covered the panels using two different school theme patterned papers.

Thank you so much for visiting me and writing me those sweet comments. I really appreciate them!

I have to go and get some sleep now. See you soon!

Cuttlebug Challenge # 44

Here is my card for this challenge!

Hope you are having a wonderful day today! the cuttlebug spot blog is having a new challenge this week. Since I made a card for my daughter, I needed to make one for my little boy as well. You have no idea how much I love my cuddlebug machine. It so easy to use and the most exciting part is that I can use my cuttlebug dies, embossing folder, and my spellbinders dies with this little machine.

Now, the challenge for this week is to make an invitation card. The image was stamped with memento ink and I colored it with copic markers. I also used my Swiss dots embossing folder to give it a little bit of texture. Guess with what I cut my circles?- yes, my cuttlebug machine!. I wanted to write my own sentiment to keep the card more personal. After I finished the card, I knew I needed to add a little bit of glitter to the wings ~ hope you can see that.I like the idea that this card can be for a B-day invitation or to be given to a child along with the birthday present.

Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Baby!

Good morning everyone! I could not resist coloring this image from Bella stamps when I got it the other day in the mail. As soon as I saw it in their website, I knew it I had to have it. I really had a lot of fun coloring it. It is adorable and perfect for a baby card. I am so glad I got it because my friend’s daughter just had a baby two days ago. I colored this with my copic markers and used my prisma color pencils and blended with gamsol to add some depth to the image. I also added a little bit of sparkle to the center of the flower and a little touch of glitter to the light green patterned paper. Hope you can see that! ~What a perfect sentiment “welcome, little one” to finish up my card.
I am glad you stop by today! ~ Have a wonderful day..

I will love to hear from you, please feel free to leave a comment. Thanks for looking!

Lauren's color challenge

Here is my card!

Wow! I am participating on a color challenge. I have been a follower of Lauren Meader blog for quite some time now. When I saw her new color challenge, I decide to participate with a card I made for my little butterfly (Arianna). I love the colors Lauren picked for this challenge, they are bright and colorful. So, I had this image stamped before, and I went to pick the paper I thought it will match the colors from the challenge. I colored the butterfly with copic markers and added shading with prismacolor pencils and gamsol. To embellish it, I added purple gemstones and a little touch of glitter.

Back to School

I can't believe the summer vacation is over and a new school year has started. It seems like yesterday that my little Arianna went to Kindergarten and now she is going to third grade. Time pass by so quickly! at least she is very excited about going back to school. I colored the image with my copics markers, this is a digital stamp from squigglefly. I love digital stamps because you can change the size of the image. I stamped and embossed the sentiment on white card stock. I used brads in three different colors to complement the patterned paper.

I got to go...but thanks for visiting my blog

Back in business!!

I am back! Sorry for not posting before, but our computer crashed and we had to take it to the repair shop. Thanks God we saved everything before we took it there. Otherwise, we would have lost everything. I think we have learned our lesson and now we have an extended memory drive as a back up. It took us days to save the most important documents and data we had in our computer. Anyway, I made this card a few weeks ago and since my birthday was yesteday, I decided to dedicate it to myself. I colored the image with my prismacolor pencil and blended with Gamsol. I added glossy accents to the candles to give it a little bit of dimention, and I added ink around my sentiment and the cake image. This is something that I trying inspired by Paula Williamson. She is the queen of colored pencil and gamsol technique, she is the best!

Hope you like this card, and thanks for stopping by!
