Welcome, little one!!

Yeah, it is Friday!!! Hope you are having a wonderful day. I am super excited to share this new project with all of you today. This sweet and cute card is my first project as one of the new designers for Dulces Ideas diseños.   Paloma Gomez, the store’s owner, invited me to be part of her new design team a couple of weeks ago. I immediately said yes ~ since I really adore her images!  So, I would like to express my gratitude to her for such an amazing opportunity.  Thanks Paloma!

So, now onto the card! My card uses the super adorable digital image "Bebe Jirafa" ~ “Baby giraffe”. You can find it here! The image was colored with my prismacolor pencils. For those of you that want to know, the papers are from October Afternoon.

Here are more views to see a few details on the card ~ enjoy!

If you are planning on making a baby’s card, this image will be the perfect fit for that! Please be sure to stop by Paloma’s store to see all her amazing digital stamps. I have another project to share but that will be until Monday.  So, stay tuned!

Baby Buds!!

Good morning everyone!

Oh boy, did I have fun designing this card for this week’s challenge at The Pink Elephant blog! I love the images and the sketch Lori sent us for this challenge. The images are so adorable. I am sure you will agree with me! So here is my card and the sketch.

I am delighted to introduce to you the BABY BUDS. Told you they were cute! You can get these sweet digi images by visiting the Baby Bud Designs Store.

Now that you know where to get these images, it is time to talk a little bit about the card I created. I must say that I was so inspired by this sweet image that I wanted to create a baby’s card.  I love the patterned papers especially the one with the baby phrases on it. When I placed the image on top of it, it was like the paper was describing the image. Don't you think??

After I printed out the image, I colored it with my prismacolor pencil and gamsol. I didn’t add any glitter on the image this time. All the sparkle comes from the tiny clear gems I added near the image. This card has a lot of layers and embellishments on it.

Okay it is time for me to go, but please be sure to stop by the TPE blog to see what the rest of the DT has created using these super adorable images.

Thanks for looking, have a wonderful day!!!

Here comes baby!!

ETA:  I am entering this card for the new challenge at the Caardvarks. I always recieve their blog updates and never had the chance to enter anything before. So, I am glad I have this card to play along!

Yeah, I love spring! The weather is so perfect, the trees are blooming, and the birds are returning to their nest. It is spring my friends, and I love this time of the year!
I have a card to share today. I made this one for the Die Cuts R Us challenge.

I must say that I was so tempted to add more embellishments to my card, but I didn’t do it because I needed to stick to the challenge’s rules. As you can see, I made a little boy’s card. A couple of weeks ago I made a girls card, so it was about time to make one for a boy. You never know when you will need one! The image is from Inkadinkado ~ Baby boy set.

I used my circle and label three nestabilities dies for the focal point. I cut a strip of paper and stitched it to the circle. I added the tree buttons near the image to draw more attention to the focal point. The organza ribbon is from my stash. The patterned papers are from PTI (tiny polka dot) and the other one is from DCWV (stripes). * The little dots on the elephant are part of the image, they were enhanced by appliying a little bit of liquid applique, those are not pearls!

Okay girls, thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!

Sweet Baby!

Hi all and welcome back to my blog! I have a brand new card for you today. I adore making baby cards and that’s exactly what I brought you today. Everything started with the patterned paper and those sweet pastel colors. One thing lead to another and this is what I created using the paper as my inspiration.  I hope you like it!

I must say that getting that baby clothesline stamp was quite a challenge. I had to visit several scrapbook stores around my area until I found it. This adorable image is from Lockhart stamps. I love, love this image! I had so much fun coloring the little baby clothes with my colored pencils. It was really hard to color those tiny images, but I think they look so adorable.

Here's a close up where you can see some of the sparkle:

I added a touch of glitter to the baby clothes. As a final touch, I placed tiny pink buttons at each side of the clothesline. I believe I got these buttons from Michael’s. I guess I need to create a baby boy’s card now. Well, that will happen until a finish some cards I am working on for one of my clients.

Time to get busy stamping!

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!!!

Hugs….

Monochromatic Color Scheme? ~ That's a challenge!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a terrific day.
I created this card for The Cuttlebug Spot color challenge. The challenge is to create a card using a Monochromatic color scheme. You basically have to create a card using one color. Yes, I said one color but using different shades of that same color. How fun is that?

Here is my entry for this challenge:

Since I wanted to make a girl’s card, pink was the best choice for this card. I used two pink patterned papers. Between the two patterned papers, I added a strip of hot pink card stock to add more visual interest to the card. Ah! I also used my EK heart punch ~ love this one too!

This card has a lot of card stock layers. The purpose of this was to incorporate different shades of pink. Did you notice the embossing detail at the bottom of my card? I have this cute cuttlebug embossing folder. It is soooo cute for a baby’s card.

Here is a closer look to see the card details!
Notice that I added hot pink gems around the nestability scallop and glitter around the circle as well.

Last week, I made a boy’s card using the same stamp. I knew it I needed to make a girl’s card using the same image. I really had a lot of fun making this card. I hope you like it too!!!!

Oh Baby!

Hola!~ Hey Everyone! It is a little bit late, but I wanted to share the card a made yesterday. The inspiration for this card comes from my little boy. He was running around the living room holding his big siter picture frame, and he was kissing it. That was sooooo sweet and fun to watch! So, I went to my room and created this cute baby card.

When I finished it, I showed to him and he kissed the card too. My heart melted! A sweet smile ran away from his little face and that was the seal of approval that he really liked the card.

About the card: I really love this light green and light blue color combination for the matting. I think that it really complements the patterned paper so well. This awesome paper has embossed animals images, the perfect theme for a baby’s card. Ah! I colored the letters with pencils and gamsol. To make the letters pop, I added small dots of glitter.

Here is a close up! By the way, this is my baby favorite teddy bear.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a restful and wonderful weekend.

Gracias por visitarme hoy!~ no olvide traducir mi página. Que pasen un feliz fin de semana.

Cuttlebug Challenge # 44

Here is my card for this challenge!

Hope you are having a wonderful day today! the cuttlebug spot blog is having a new challenge this week. Since I made a card for my daughter, I needed to make one for my little boy as well. You have no idea how much I love my cuddlebug machine. It so easy to use and the most exciting part is that I can use my cuttlebug dies, embossing folder, and my spellbinders dies with this little machine.

Now, the challenge for this week is to make an invitation card. The image was stamped with memento ink and I colored it with copic markers. I also used my Swiss dots embossing folder to give it a little bit of texture. Guess with what I cut my circles?- yes, my cuttlebug machine!. I wanted to write my own sentiment to keep the card more personal. After I finished the card, I knew I needed to add a little bit of glitter to the wings ~ hope you can see that.I like the idea that this card can be for a B-day invitation or to be given to a child along with the birthday present.

Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Baby!

Good morning everyone! I could not resist coloring this image from Bella stamps when I got it the other day in the mail. As soon as I saw it in their website, I knew it I had to have it. I really had a lot of fun coloring it. It is adorable and perfect for a baby card. I am so glad I got it because my friend’s daughter just had a baby two days ago. I colored this with my copic markers and used my prisma color pencils and blended with gamsol to add some depth to the image. I also added a little bit of sparkle to the center of the flower and a little touch of glitter to the light green patterned paper. Hope you can see that! ~What a perfect sentiment “welcome, little one” to finish up my card.
I am glad you stop by today! ~ Have a wonderful day..

I will love to hear from you, please feel free to leave a comment. Thanks for looking!
