A new Challenge, Card, and an Announcement

Hello peeps! I am so excited to share the card I made for The Pink Elephant Challenge blog. This time as a designer. Yes! I have been keeping this little secret, and finally I am able to share it with all of you. Back in March, Lori invited me to be part of her design team and to be April’s guest designer. It was hard to keep this little secret, but I was waiting for Lori to make the offical announcement on her blog.  I am so happy and honored to be part of the design team and to work with such talented ladies.

Now onto my card!  This week challenge was to create a card using “aqua” color on our card. This is what I came up with. Enjoy!

I stamped the tree with aqua mist ink. To echo the aqua color, I used aqua mist cardstock from PTI too. I placed silver brads on each side of the sentiment. I was looking for embellishment when I noticed these orange gems. They look like little oranges ~ don’t you think?

This card has a lot of layers! Using a block stamp like this for this project was the perfect choice. I don’t normally buy block stamps, but I am glad I did!

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out the beautiful cards the rest of the design team has created for this challenge. Hope you can play along too!

Have a fabulous day…….

Let's Go Mommy!!

Good morning everyone! I am glad you stopped by today because I have a new card to share. The Pink Elephant’s DT and I were challenged to create a card using the following sketch:

When I saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to create a boy’s card. I don’t know why? So here is my card and my interpretation of Lori’s sketch ~ Enjoy!!

With the idea of making a boy’s card, I started to look for boy’s digital stamps because I didn’t have an image to work with. This is what I found! I love whimsical images and this one was the perfect image for my card. This adorable digi stamp is from Meljen’s Designs.

After I printed out the image, I colored it with my prismacolor pencils. Oh, have you noticed the tires! I added a silver brad to them to make them look more real, and to give it a masculine look to the card. I cut out those little luggages from another patterned paper to embellish the card like the sketch.

Here is a closer look to see those little details.

Okay girls that all for me today! Have a wonderful day and have fun with the sketch!

I am off to check what the rest of the DT has created this week. Oh, before I leave, thank you for stopping by and leaving all those sweet comments.

Hugs…

Cosmobella ~ Cute and Sassy!

Good morning everyone and welcome back to my blog! Hope you all had a great weekend. I am here today to share with all of you the new card I created for the new challenge at The Pink Elephant challenge blog.  Hope you can join in the fun by playing along. Just click the link above and enter your creation. This week’s challenge is to create a card using one image, 2 dies cuts, and 3 of your favorite embellishments. How fun is that?  So, here is my card!

I finally inked up my cosmobella stamp. Isn’t she cute and sassy? I adore Stamping Bella and this is one of their stamps. I stamped the image with memento ink and colored with my prismacolor pencils.

The patterned papers are pieces I had from previous projects. I cannot remember who designed them. I used my nesties to cut the image and the pink matting. I also used my new fiskars border punch to add a little bit of interest to the focal point.

I love all kind of embellishments. But for this card, I used gems because of the scale. I was looking for small embellishments, and these little gems seemed to be the perfect fit for my card. Besides, I love the gems sparkle!

Hope my card will inspire you! I have to go now, but make sure to stop by TPE to see what the DT have created for this challenge. See you soon!!!

Thrilled To Be a Guest Designer!!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you are having a fantastic day. I am very excited to share with all of you these two cards I made for The Pink Elephant Challenge Blog. Lori invited me to be April's guest designer. I feel very honored with such an invitation! We were challenged to create a card using this week's theme which is Nature and this is what I came up with.

Aren’t these images the cutest? For those of you that want to know, they are from All That Scraps - Swiss Pixie set. I adore these images, and they are so much fun to color. Both cards use the image called Nora.

I colored the images with my prismacolor and blended with gamsol. To create this card, I used a piece of the Green at Heart paper collection from Basic Grey. I added some glitter to Nora’s wings to make them sparkle just a bit. As a final touch, I added a butterfly and one of the crocheted flowers I made the other day.

And lastly, the second card uses Victorian Rose paper collection. The image is from the same set! The beautiful satin ribbon is from PTI.  See those little flowers? Those are flower brads. They really add a nice touch to the card, and also work perfectly with this week’s challenge theme.

That’s all for today! Thanks for stopping by….. Don’t forget to stop by The Pink Elephant blog to check out what the rest of the design team has created this week. Hope you can join us too by playing along!!!

Here comes baby!!

ETA:  I am entering this card for the new challenge at the Caardvarks. I always recieve their blog updates and never had the chance to enter anything before. So, I am glad I have this card to play along!

Yeah, I love spring! The weather is so perfect, the trees are blooming, and the birds are returning to their nest. It is spring my friends, and I love this time of the year!
I have a card to share today. I made this one for the Die Cuts R Us challenge.

I must say that I was so tempted to add more embellishments to my card, but I didn’t do it because I needed to stick to the challenge’s rules. As you can see, I made a little boy’s card. A couple of weeks ago I made a girls card, so it was about time to make one for a boy. You never know when you will need one! The image is from Inkadinkado ~ Baby boy set.

I used my circle and label three nestabilities dies for the focal point. I cut a strip of paper and stitched it to the circle. I added the tree buttons near the image to draw more attention to the focal point. The organza ribbon is from my stash. The patterned papers are from PTI (tiny polka dot) and the other one is from DCWV (stripes). * The little dots on the elephant are part of the image, they were enhanced by appliying a little bit of liquid applique, those are not pearls!

Okay girls, thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!

Spring has returned!

Hello peeps! I have been playing with my favorite stamps, embellishments, and template. So, here is a little project I made this morning. Hope you like it!

Don’t you love this pretty petal pocket template? It is gorgeous! What I love about it is that you can make as many projects as you want using the same template ~how fun is that!

The butterfly image is from PTI. I have been making some crocheted flowers and here is one of them. While I am waiting for my daughter in the car pool line, I have been making these cute flowers. By the end of the school year, I will have tons of them.. LOL! It has been a while since I crocheted something.  I added a brad and some pink gems to the center of the flower to make it pop.

I didn’t have a sentiment, so I decided to make my own. I cut a tiny tag with my cricut machine and then wrote the sentiment. Yes, that’s my handwriting! I made a little flower tag and attached it to the treat bag. The ribbon is from PTI too.

Hope this little project will inspire you to create something really cute. I am working on some other projects; I will post them as soon as I finish them!

Before I leave, I would like to thank you for all your sweet comments. Your kind words really inspire me to create and share with all of you my endless love for paper crafting. Thanks again!!!

Happy Easter everyone!!

Hugs….
