Yummalicious...!!!

Hello everyone! I am so glad you are here today because I have a fun card to share with all of you today. The Pink Elephant blog is hosting a really fun challenge this week. All you need to do is to design a card using these fabulous colors: red, blue, and green.  Here is my take for this challenge!

This week we have such a fabulous sponsor ~ Tiffany Doodles digital stamps.  This is such a cute image and I had a lot of fun coloring it. This one is called “Let them eat cake!”  Don’t you just want to eat it? It looks so yummy!

I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. After I colored the cake, I added little dots on it with my liquid appliqué. Then, I sprinkled some light green glitter on the tiny dots.  Oh, did you see the little cherry on top? That is just a small red peal ~ it was white, but I colored it with one of my red copic markers.  Oh, yes! The papers are from October Afternoon.

Okay girls, my time is up! Hope you can play along with us this week at The Pink Elephant blog. Here is the link so you can stop by and see all the beautiful creations by the rest of the design team!
Thanks for stopping by… Have a wonderful day!

Hugs and Kisses!!!

Hi! It’s me again, Silvia! As I promised on Friday, here is the card I was telling you about it that day. I made this one for this week challenge over at The Pink Elephant blog. This week, we have such a fun challenge for you ~ it is a recipe challenge!!!  So, here is what you need to incorporate on your card: color aqua, designer paper, and embellishment of your choice.  Here is my card!

Today’s card uses one of the images from this week sponsor Heather Ellis, it is called Pure Innocence. Is it the sweetest image ever? I just love it! As usual, I colored the image with my colored pencils. DP are from October Afternoon. I find myself using these papers a lot; I guess I just love them so much! Chances are you might see them again on another project… hee, hee!!

This little image represent love, kindness, the human desire to love and  be loved... it also reminds me my children. They always make sure I have my daily dose of love, hugs, and kisses ~ that’s why I picked that sentiment.
Now is time to visit The Pink Elephant blog to check out what the rest of the DT has created for this week challenge.

Okay girls I have to go now! Thank you so much for visiting again and for all the lovely comments you left on my blog.  I truly appreciate your support and encouragement. You are my biggest inspiration of all!!!!!

Have a lovely day!

Back-to-School

Good morning peeps! I am so glad you are here today because I have a fun project for you! Here is a pocket card I made for our “Back to School” theme challenge over at The Pink Elephant Blog.

Today’s project uses some of the images from the All About School digital stamp set by The Cutting Café. This set is so versatile, and I love the fact that I was able to use different images from the same set on the same project. I’m talking about the teacher’s message card, the apple image, and the sentiment.

Regina, the owner, has an awesome tutorial on how to print and resize the images according to the project’s needs. Here is the direct link.  It is fantastic; you should give it a try! Anyway, the patterned papers are from New Apron and Story Hour collections by October Afternoon.

I used some of my favorite embellishments on my card such as the lace, pearls, and glitter.  As usual, the images were colored with my prismacolor pencils.

I love Our Creative Corner blog and have followed it for some time now but didn't have a chance to play before. So, this week I have decided to have a little bit of fun by joining in the new challenge.

Okay girls, that’s all for me today! Please be sure to stop by The Pink Elephant blog to see all the amazing cards the rest of the DT has created using this awesome images.

Have a splendid day!!!

Mostly White!

Good morning everyone! I wanted to show you a fun card I made for our new challenge over at The Pink Elephant blog. This week, Lori challenged us to create a card using white as the main color. So after brainstorming some ideas, I decided to incorporate white by using my favorite embellishments such as peals, glitter, and liquid appliqué.  So, here is my card ~ hope you like it!

This is what I did to create my card. I printed out the image. If you are wondering where this cute image comes from? Well, it is from our wonderful sponsor, Meljen’s designs. My card uses the Bubble Bath Bunny image. Isn't this the cutest?

Here is a closer look to see the card details!

I wanted the bunny to be white, and I didn't want to use my pencils to color her body.  Instead, I just used my C1 copic marker and my blender. I went around the  inside lines of the image with the marker to create some depth to it.  After I applied a light coat of glue on her body, I sprinkled the glitter and… voila!  the image turned white without any coloring.

For the bubbles, I used white pearls and of course liquid appliqué to create that 3D effect.  I also used one of my cuttlebug embossing folders to add texture to the white matting. If would like to know how to create the 3D effect with the liquid appliqué, please let me know. I will be happy to take pictures and write a little tutorial on how is done!

Okay girls, my time is up! Hope you can join us this week at The Pink Elephant Challenge blog.

Choo-Choo... you're turning...

Good morning everyone! I am so glad you are here today because I have a new card to show you.   As you know, a new week brings a new challenge at The Pink Elephant blog. This week, we have a sketch challenge.  If you like sketches as much as I do, here is the one we will be using for this week’s challenge. Hope you can give it a try!

I must say that I really had so much fun coloring the image I picked from this week’s sponsor, Inktegrity digital stamps.   So, thanks Joni for allowing me to play with one of your images and for the awesome sketch you created for this week’s challenge.  It was nothing but fun…!  So, here is my interpretation of the sketch ~ hope you like it!

As soon as I got the image, I printed out and colored it with my beloved prismacolor pencils. My card uses On the Right Track digital image from Inktegrity.   This super adorable image is the perfect focal point for a little boy’s card or a baby themed card.  Don’t you think?

Oh, check out the tiny train lights I created with buttons!  The railroad sign is part of the digital stamp set.  I just printed out, cut it out, and then mounted on a strip of cardstock with 3D dots.   As a final touch, I added ribbon and the silver brads.

I think that's all for me today! Be sure to stop by The Pink Elephant to see what the rest of the DT has created for this week's challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a moment to write your comments!

Gracias por visitar mi blog y por tomarse el tiempo de escribirme sus comentarios.

A magical day!!!

I love days like this… so calm, fresh, and filled with a special magic floating in the air. Can you feel it too? Is it Fall  knocking on our door already? I don’t know what it is, but it makes my heart happy!

It is time for another challenge at The Pink Elephant blog. Oh, this week I got to play with one of the most adorable images from Pink Cat Studio and some of my favorite embellishments: ribbon and glitter!

Today's card uses Lily Sunshine Fairy digi stamp. It was so much fun coloring the image and incorporating the two main ingredients ,so to speak, for this week recipe challenge: ribbon and sparkle.

I applied glitter on Lily’s wings, a little bit on her crown, her wand, and the flowers. I love glitter, but didn’t go crazy with it on the card. Instead, I used gems for more sparkle! Oh, I have discovered felt, and I love it! It was a glorious moment sewing the felt and the cardstock together. If you use your sewing machine to add stitches on your cards, you know what I mean by that…. he, he. For those of you that want to know, the patterned paper are from October Afternoon and DCWV.

Okay girls that all for me today… thanks for stopping by! Please be sure to stop by The Pink Elephant blog to see what the rest of the design team has created for this week challenge. Hope to see you there!

Have a beautiful day!

"Sparkling waves in glee..."

Hello all! Hope you had a great weekend. It has been crazy but fun around here getting ready for the new school year. I have a cute and fun card for you today! I created it for the newest challenge over at The Pink Elephant blog. This week, Lori challenged us to create a card using the “Summer Fun” theme. So here is what I came up with!

Here are a few things to highlight about this card. The image is from this week’s sponsor Simple Betty stamps and it is called Lola Summer. Don’t you love this image? It is so fun, cute, and cool… The patterned paper I used to create the scene is from Making Memories. I just cut a portion of it and attached it to the white cardstock. As usual, I colored the image with prismacolor pencils and gamsol.

I created the sun by stamping a circle using a solid stamp and yellow ink. Then, I added a yellow button on top of the circle to hold the sentiment. And finally, I cut out the umbrella from another patterned paper I had and placed it near the image to complete the scene. I love the fact that I can read a few lines from a poem that has been printed on the umbrella. Guess what the poet is talking about ~ yes! “…sparkling waves in glee…” I need to find out who wrote this poem!

Okay girls, I think that’s all for now!

Oh before I leave, I would like to thank my sweet friend Beatriz for the beautiful card she sent to me for my birthday which is tomorrow.

Here is a picture of the card she sent, it is so beautiful! Thanks Beatriz for making my day so special!

Thanks for visiting again and taking the time to write your comments, they are really appreciated!!!

Have a wonderful day.

Owl be there!

Good morning everyone! I am back with a brand new creation for this week challenge over at The Pink Elephant blog. This week, we have a color challenge and our sponsor is My Favorite Things stamps. I love their stamps! They sent us images, papers, and ribbon to create our cards. Oh, about the challenge! ~ use brown on your card. So here is what I made, I hope you like it!

This card uses the super adorable Owls and Bluebells stamp. The sentiment is from the same set too! I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. Then, I used my spellbinder scalloped square die to cut the image.

This card has lots of layers on it. The brown, pink, and off white cardstock are from bazzil basic. I wanted to tie a bow, but it didn’t work for me. The bow was going to cover the image too much,  so I ended up folding it!  By the way, the pink satin ribbon is from MFT too. I love it, it is gorgeous!

I love to make my own embellishments like the ones on today’s card. This is a very nice way to add more color and texture to a card. Besides, they are so easy to make!  And last but not least, I sprinkled some glitter on the flowers.

Well my time is up…. I need to go back and continue packing. I will be moving this week and won’t be able to work on anything until I unpack my supplies.

Thanks for visiting! Please be sure to check TPE blog to see all the wonderful cards the DT has created for this week challenge.

Domestic Diva!

Hello girls! Today is Monday, and it is time for another challenge at The Pink Elephant blog. I must say that I really love this week’s challenge. I have finally created a pocket card! Yes, this is our new challenge for this week! So, here is my card ~ enjoy!!

This image is so cute and so much fun to color. The digital stamp is from  Sassy Studio Designs. It is the perfect image for this challenge, don’t you think? When I looked at it, I immediately knew that I wanted to make a pocket card to hold a recipe.  After I printed out the Domestic Diva image, I colored it with my prismacolor pencils. I must tell you that coloring the veggies was a bit of a challenge because they are so tiny.

For those of you that want to know, the patterned papers are from October Afternoon. I used my spellbinders die labels to make the recipe card. To pull out the card, I attached a button and some twine. And of course, I couldn’t resist adding a touch of glitter on her blouse.

If you don’t know how to create a pocket card, here is a link our card team coordinator, Sheri, sent to us. Trust me! These cards are very easy to make, I hope you will give it a go!

I think that’s all for me today. Thanks for stopping by… have a fantastic day!

Arigato ~ Thanks!

Good morning everyone! Hope you had a fantastic Fourth of July celebration. We had a blast yesterday! The children danced, ate good food, and watched one of the most amazing fireworks show in our area. The show was fantastic and it lasted for about 25 minutes… We also had live music!!!

Okay, back to the reason why I’m here today. It is time for a new challenge over at The Pink Elephant Blog. This week, we have a recipe challenge. We were asked to create a card using 3 layers, 2 die cuts, and ribbon. Here is what I came up with!!

Today’s card uses one the images from Whimsie Doodles. They are just releasing two new images today. The one I am using is called Miyako Cookies ~ yes, she is a geisha! Don’t you love her? To create my card, I am using one of the sketches from Card Patterns too. I love their sketches!!

The image was colored with prismacolor pencils. I used my clear glaze pen to draw tiny stars to decorate her kimono (the blue section of it) ~ hope you can see that! To make the rice, I used my liquid appliqué. I also made those little flowers!!   Here is a closer look to see all those little details.

Hope you can play along with us for a chance to win the new images we are showcasing today at The Pink Elephant. Now is time to hop over there and see the beautiful creations the rest of the DT has created using these awesome images. See you there!!

Thanks for visiting again and taking the time to write me your comments. I really appreciate your kind words!

Have a fabulous day…!

Ella ~ The Pink Elephant!

Hello everyone!!! I just popped in to show the card I made for this week challenge at The Pink Elephant blog. If you like color challenges, well we have the perfect challenge for you. The color combo for this week’s challenge is PINK and BLACK. I am pretty sure you can come up with something beautiful using those colors. In the meantime, here is mine card ~ enjoy!

This adorable image is Ella~ The Pink Elephant. Yes! It is the same image you have seen on The Pink Elephant blog. Now you can get it in rubber at Die Cuts R Us.  Our super talented friend, Lori Boyd, will be sponsoring this week's challenge. Please visit TPE blog for more details on how you could win this image.

I really had fun playing and incorporating the black color on my card. So, here is what I did ~I basically used it as an accent color. I started with a patterned paper that had some black on it. Then, I stamped the tiny circle around the image using black memento ink. And of course, Ella’s bows have some black dots on it too!! I used a black glaze pen to add the dots.
As a final touch, I added pink gems and a touch of pink glitter on her bows.

I think that’s about all, thanks for visiting again!!!!

Have fun with this challenge…. Make sure to check out all the beautiful cards the rest of the design team has created using this image.
