Spotlight : Baby Pool Lily

Hello everyone! It really feels great to be back at home…we escaped the city for a few days and made a short trip with the children before school starts again! Before I left, I scheduled this post and I am not really sure what happened that it didn’t go live? Anyway, here is a little something I created with one of the new images from By Lori Designs ~ July Release.



This is… Baby Pool Lily image!!! Adorable…isn’t she?

As usual, I colored the image with colored pencils and copic markers.  To create the card, I used a few pieces of papers I had from another projects. The Vintage ribbon is from my stash and so is the button. I used my Cuttlebug   polka dots embossing folder to add some texture on the card. I sprinkled a little bit of glitter on the butterfly wings and the flowers.

Spotlight : Water Wing Willa

Hello sweet friends! I am so glad you stopped by today because I have a little creation to share with all of you. I made this one for our By Lori Designs ~ Tuesdays Spotlight post. This time, I got to play with Water Wing Willa image. Oh gosh, she is darling…. just look at her!

Winter Wing Willa

This little card has a lot of layers… as you can see! It is hard to believe that I started with only one patterned paper and I ended up adding two more. I guess that mixing and matching added that visual interest I was looking for. I used copic markers and colored pencils to color the image.

The fun and cute sentiment comes from one of my patterned papers, can you believe it? I just cut it out and attached to the card… as simple as that!

Spotlight : Tube Dude Taylor

Hello peeps!!! It is time to show you a simple and cute little card I created with another fun image from our July Release. I must say that I am always looking forward to our By Lori Designs Spotlight post on Tuesdays …it is so much fun!

Today’s card uses Tube Dude Taylor image. Don’t you love this little guy?

The pretty paper is from Imaginisce and it is the perfect match for the image. I colored the image with markers and colored pencils. I tied a bow and top it off with a button. I also used a small amount of Glossy accents on the little goggles.


I wish to stay a little bit longer here but there is a huge storm with lighting coming this way… and I might have to turn off the computer.

Spotlight : Watermelon Smile

Hi, everyone! So glad to be back again to share with you another card I created with one of the new images from our By Lori Designs July Release.  Have you seen the new images? They are so stinkin’ cute!!! So, today I give you Watermelon Smile digi stamp. Isn’t she adorable and so perfect for all of those summertime themed projects that you have in mind?  Here is my little sample…

Watermelon Smile

As usual, I used copic markers and colored pencils to color the sweet image.  I decided not to color the polka dots on the little dress because I just wanted some sparkle on them. Hope you can see that!!  I added tiny clear gems on the little hair bows. 

The sentiment is from a tiny stamp set I found at Michaels. I paid a buck for it! The buttons, white pearls, and ribbon are from my stash. Oh… before I forget, the papers are from Simple Stories and October Afternoon.
