Creating for a Cause!

Hello peeps!! I am so happy to be here today to share a very special card I made this weekend. While my busy little bee is playing in his room, I am taking a few minutes to write this post. First of all, I would like to let you know that our pink and black color challenge has been extended for another week. Here is the original post for that challenge!

Today’s card was created using another beautiful digital image from my dear friend Lori Boyd. She designed this image for Macie ~ please read about her story here. This little image has stolen my heart, and I feel moved by the story behind it.

If you would like to support Mission 4 Macie, please contact Lori.

For a donation of $ 5.00 you can have this adorable image! All the proceeds will go to
 Mission 4 Macie.

I have so much to do today and apparently my little one noticed that I have left his room. Well…. I guess my time chatting with you is up. Thanks for stopping by!

Have a wonderful day!!!!!

Ella ~ The Pink Elephant!

Hello everyone!!! I just popped in to show the card I made for this week challenge at The Pink Elephant blog. If you like color challenges, well we have the perfect challenge for you. The color combo for this week’s challenge is PINK and BLACK. I am pretty sure you can come up with something beautiful using those colors. In the meantime, here is mine card ~ enjoy!

This adorable image is Ella~ The Pink Elephant. Yes! It is the same image you have seen on The Pink Elephant blog. Now you can get it in rubber at Die Cuts R Us.  Our super talented friend, Lori Boyd, will be sponsoring this week's challenge. Please visit TPE blog for more details on how you could win this image.

I really had fun playing and incorporating the black color on my card. So, here is what I did ~I basically used it as an accent color. I started with a patterned paper that had some black on it. Then, I stamped the tiny circle around the image using black memento ink. And of course, Ella’s bows have some black dots on it too!! I used a black glaze pen to add the dots.
As a final touch, I added pink gems and a touch of pink glitter on her bows.

I think that’s about all, thanks for visiting again!!!!

Have fun with this challenge…. Make sure to check out all the beautiful cards the rest of the design team has created using this image.

Baby Buds!!

Good morning everyone!

Oh boy, did I have fun designing this card for this week’s challenge at The Pink Elephant blog! I love the images and the sketch Lori sent us for this challenge. The images are so adorable. I am sure you will agree with me! So here is my card and the sketch.

I am delighted to introduce to you the BABY BUDS. Told you they were cute! You can get these sweet digi images by visiting the Baby Bud Designs Store.

Now that you know where to get these images, it is time to talk a little bit about the card I created. I must say that I was so inspired by this sweet image that I wanted to create a baby’s card.  I love the patterned papers especially the one with the baby phrases on it. When I placed the image on top of it, it was like the paper was describing the image. Don't you think??

After I printed out the image, I colored it with my prismacolor pencil and gamsol. I didn’t add any glitter on the image this time. All the sparkle comes from the tiny clear gems I added near the image. This card has a lot of layers and embellishments on it.

Okay it is time for me to go, but please be sure to stop by the TPE blog to see what the rest of the DT has created using these super adorable images.

Thanks for looking, have a wonderful day!!!

Wishing You Sunshine...

Happy Monday everyone! Hope your day is great and full of sweet surprises. Look what I have for your today ~ a new card…!! I have created this card for our new challenge at The Pink Elephant challenge blog. Have you visited it yet? It is full of inspiration and amazing challenges....

This week, we were challenged to create a card using the following recipe: use the color red, scallops, and a bow.

So, here is what I came up with!

First, I will start with the patterned papers. The tiny red polka dot paper is from PTI and the one with the little flowers on it is from October Afternoon. The image is from PTI too! I just got it a couple days ago and wanted to use it on this project.

To create the scalloped border at the bottom of the card, I used my Fiskars edge punch. Love that punch!!! I happened to have this cute scalloped stamp, so I stamped it on the white cardstock with light blue chalk ink.

And finally, I made that pretty bow and placed it near the scalloped image. Then, I added the little pearl on the bow and stamped the sentiment.

That’s all for me today. Thanks for stopping by!!! Hope you will join us this week and play along with us at TPE!!

Oh, girls… I would like to thank you for taking the time to write me your comments. Your kind words are greatly appreciated!!
