Happy B-day babies!!!

Good morning peeps! Today I am sharing two cards that I made for my children. They both celebrate their birthday in February. The cards I made for them are simple but sweet. Each card holds inside a picure of them at this age.  I have this cute stamp set that comes with a cupcake image, numbers, and different sentiments. Oh yes! ~For those of you who want to know, the set is from Stampendous.

My princess turned 9 and her favorite color is pink! Therefore, the cupcake’s icing had to be pink, and it had to have sprinkles on it. I used a glue pen and glitter to make the sprinkles.

My little prince turned 2, and he loves cupcakes too! His card  uses the same image, but it was colored  in blue this time. The cupcakes and numbers were colored with prismas pencils and gamsol.

As a final touch  I tied a ribbon, added a button, and placed some gems on each card.

I had so much fun making these cards for my babies. I must say that I got very emotional while making the cards as I realized that my children are growing up very fast!! For this reason, I try to enjoy every single moment of their childhood….

Okay peeps that’s all for me today! Hope you are having a fabulous day. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to write me a comment. I truly appreciate it!!!

Hugs…

Valentine's Day.. Yeah!!!

ETA: The TPE blog is hosting a new challenge. I love all their challenges, and this week's theme  is "Valentines", these two cards fall under that category. So hop over there and take a look at all the gorgeous entries.

Hello girls! I hope you are having a fabulous day. I promised on Thursday to come back again to share the other cards I made last week. So, here I’m! But before I do that, I would like to thank you for all your wonderful comments about the card I posted on Thursday. You really made my day! Now onto the cards - shall we?

The first card:
I used Bo-Bunny’s patterned paper. I fell in love with this paper immediately when I saw it at the scrapbook store. Is it adorable? I used it as part of the focal point along with the heart stamp from PTI.

ETA:  Woo hooo!!! I made the top 25 with this card!!

The sentiment is from PTI also, and it is part of the heart prints set. I added a little bit of glitter to the birds and the lady bugs to make them pop!

I wanted to add ribbon, but I thought that the ribbon would add to much distraction from the focal point. So, I decided to add a small red button instead. I do love the little touch that it adds to the card.

Now onto the second card:
This is a simple but elegant card. I pierced little holes at the top of the card near the patterned paper. I used a strip of Vintage Tee patterned paper from Basic Grey. I love, love this paper!

As you can see in this close-up, I added some glitter to the card. The heart trim is from my stash. I used white organza ribbon to tie the bow.

The sentiment is from PTI ~ heart prints set. I wanted to use a red button on the card, but it didn’t work for me so I ended up using a white one. I really like using together two shades of the same color. It really adds a lot of interest to the card.

Okay girls! I think that’s about all. Tomorrow is Valentines’ Day, Yeah!!!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!

Just a note!

Happy Thursday everyone! I am finally here after an unplanned blogging break. I have been very busy lately creating cards for my friends/clients that I barely had time to make something special to post on my blog. But today, I am happy to share this card with all of you. My sweet husband requested me a card for a special friend; it is “Thank you” note. Since the recipient of this card is a classic music lover, I decided to create a card using some Vintage music sheets. So here is my card, I hope you like it!

I created my own music patterned paper. I searched for free Vintage music sheets. I found one that I liked, and then printed out on cream cardstock to give that old Vintage look. The piece I printed out was composed by Vivaldi and it is one of my favorite pieces – “The Four Seasons”.

This card is huge! It is a letter size card folded in half. Why it is so big? Well, my husband will be collecting signatures and sweet notes for this person. The sentiment is computer generated. As I was working on the card, I came up with the idea to incorporate the word “NOTE” as in musical note for the sentiment. I used only one stamp on this card and it is from Rubber Stampede. I got it a few years ago and have never used it before - until today. It is called Scalloped Oval label.

ETA: Sorry girls! I did use the polka dots stamp and basic hearts from PTI too.

It really makes me so happy to create a card for someone so special. I know my husband is delighted to bring the card to his work today. I hope this card will inspire you to create something sweet for those special persons in your life. I have two more cards to share, but I will be adding those when I take and edit the pictures. Until then, have a sweet and a wonderful day!!!

Hugs…..
