Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone!  I want to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas. Tons of blessings to each of you!!

Happy, happy Christmas, that can win us back to the delusions of our childhood days, recall to the old man the pleasures of his youth, and transport the traveler back to his own fireside and quiet home! ~ Charles Dickens

~ Charles Dickens

Winter Snow Scene

Featuring Santa And Rudulf The Red Nosed Reindeer!

Hello and welcome back to my blog! I am so happy I'm able to share the card I made on Wednesday. I have been very busy lately with all the Christmas preparations that I am rushing a little bit to post my entry for the TPE blog. It has been a crazy week and I am glad is Sunday. Now I can focus on my family and enjoy ourselves. Christmas is around the corner and the children are so excited about it. Besides my card, I am sharing a picture of my daughter playing violin during her concert. She looked so beautiful on her black dress. It was a beautiful night and I felt so proud of her!

Now onto the card:
I created this card using two different images, I bought them separately two years ago. Ever since, I wanted to create something special with them.  I don’t believe they were made by the same company. The idea was to create a Winter Snow Scene. I hope I achieved that!

I was organizing my stamps the other day and saw these two images. Then I thought that if I stamp them together they would make a perfect scene for a card. So, I didn’t hesitate to make one and share it with all of you. I stamped tiny snowflakes as the background for the images. Santa and the reindeer were colored with pencils and blended with gamsol.

These two images look so perfect together. Don’t you think? I seriously love them! I colored the ground with copics and then added glitter.

Here is my daughter playing violin.

Oh! Before I leave, I have a picture of the elves the children got the other day. I couldn’t resist posting it.

Okay girls, thanks for visiting my blog today! Happy stamping and don’t forget to leave your comments. I have more projects to share, so stay tuned!

Gracias por visitar mi blog y escribir tus lindos comentarios. Que la pases bien!

Yummy ~ Chocolates!!!

Hi girls! I am popping in to show a cute basket I made this morning. My friend Karina was kind enough to send me the instructions to make it. I was on a blogging tour the other day when I spotted this cute basket on her blog. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to make some for my little girl’s classmates. Trust me, these baskets look  adorable!  Best of all, they are sooooo easy to make.

What I love about this project is that you can fill it in with candies, cookies, chocolates.. or you can place a Christmas ornament as well.

In this case, I placed several  Hershey’s chocolates inside a treat bag . Then, I tied a red organza ribbon around it. I stamped “Happy Holidays” on white card stock and attached it to the bag too.

Here is close- up shot to show you the details on the basket’s handle.

You will notice that I used a different patterned paper on the handle. I added glitter to the candies image to make them pop!

It really makes me happy to make this type of projects for my little girl. In return, I get a lot of hugs and kisses…

Off to get some more projects done! Thanks for coming back and taking the time to let me know you were here. I truly enjoy reading your comments!!

Gracias por tu visita y que tengas un bonito dia!!

Tic-Tac- Joy!

Second Post:

Hello again! I came back to add the second post. My little angels are sleeping now and it is so quiet around here right now. It has been a long and a busy day for us today! The children and I went to my favorite scrapbook store and had the chance to make some crafts projects together. They made beautiful and sparkling snowflakes, glittered ornaments, and tags for their treat bags. We really had a great time together!

The card I have for you girls was inspired by the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger. When I saw this picture, I couldn’t resist creating this card.

I used the idea of a Tic-Tac- Toe layout to create this card. Well, the word “JOY” fits perfectly for this because it has three letters in it. I used my new nestabilities dies to cut the little squares. Each square has a different pattern, image, and letter. I clear embossed the Ornate Swirls and the ornament images. I just stamped the tree and the poinsettia flower with white ink on  the red cardstock .

In this photo, you can see the stocking’s sparkle and texture like fur. I stamped the letters individually and heat embossed them. I stitched the red paper to the off white cardstock.

As a final touch, I added clear gems to the tree and the poinsettia. I am glad the word “JOY” is the main focal point and the sentiment at the same time. Hope you like my card!

I have to go now! Thanks for all the sweet comments; I really appreciate every single one!

Good night and sweet dreams to you all!

Gracias por tus lindos comentarios y por tu visita a mi blog.  Que tengas dulces sueños...!
Hugs…

Best Friends ~ Lottie and Gussie!

First Post:

Hello girls and welcome back to my blog! I tried to add this post yesterday, but I am still having problems with my small lighting box. On top of that, it was raining all day long yesterday and I couldn't take any pictue of my card. So, I waited until today to take good pictures to add them to my post. Remember the phrase, “a picture says more than a thousand words”. Well here you have it!

I created this card for the Pink Elephant new challenge. The image is from Bella stamps and it is one of my favorite ones. Lottie and Gussie were colored with colored pencils and gamsol. I added a little bit of ink around the image to resemble the sky. I couldn’t resist adding glitter to their wings. I do that to almost every project...LOL!

I used my Fiskars scallop edge punch. This one has the scallop and a little hole in it; I wasn’t really convinced of the way it looked after I punched the edge. So, I decided to cover the little holes with stickles and a touch of glitter to fix the problem of seeing the pink cardstock through the little holes.

When I finished the card, I noticed that I didn’t have a sentiment that could go with this image. I looked for a fine permanent marker and wrote the sentiment myself.

A have another card to show you, don't forget to come back again.
I am off to get ready the kids for bed, enjoy the weekend and thanks for stopping by today!

Gracias por visitarme hoy, espero que estes disfrutando tu fin de semana!
Hugs...
